Care & Tips Beaucarnea – 60cm
The Beaucarnea is also known as the Elephant's Foot. This nickname is due to its large trunk, which resembles the foot of an elephant. Besides its unique appearance, the thick trunk is very useful for the plant. It stores water in the trunk, functioning as its own water reservoir. This means you don’t need to water the plant often, and it can go for long periods without water – how convenient!
Water needs Beaucarnea – 60cm
As mentioned above, the Beaucarnea requires little water. The plant stores water in its trunk and can sustain itself for an extended period. We recommend only watering it again when the soil has been dry for a while. In winter, this may take even longer than in summer. When in doubt, it’s better to wait before watering, as too much water can cause root rot.
Light requirements Beaucarnea – 60cm
The Beaucarnea prefers a bright spot. Place the plant near a window where it can receive plenty of natural daylight. It needs light to stay healthy and beautiful. If there’s insufficient light, the growth of its leaves will slow down or even stop completely.
