This easy plant needs little care and does well in the bathroom, where there is little direct sunlight. Water the Dracaena every 3 to 6 weeks and avoid too much moisture to avoid root rot.

Large Bathroom Plants

If you have a larger bathroom, the Chamaedorea Elegans, or Mexican Mountain Palm, is a wonderful addition. This palm with its feathery leaves has air-purifying qualities and adds a tropical feel to your bathroom. It likes 1 to 3 hours of sunlight a day and needs regular watering without having its roots in water.
Another impressive choice is the Caryota Mitis, also known as the Fishtail Palm. This palm from Southeast Asia has leaves resembling fish tails and does well in both light and shaded areas. Make sure the soil is always moist, but not drenched.

Hanging Bathroom Plants

Hanging plants can add a nice atmosphere to your bathroom. The Grass Lily is an excellent choice. This plant from South Africa is easy to care for, but don't let its simplicity fool you. Water the Grass Lily two to three times a week in summer and once a week in winter. Make sure it does not get too much water as this can be harmful. The best location is a bright spot with indirect sunlight.
