Philodendron Scandens 'Micans' originates from the jungles of South America. Here, the plant spreads over the ground until it meets a tree and grows further, climbing it. So this houseplant can grow to a considerable height in the wild. Did you know that the name Philodendron is derived from 2 Greek words? Namely; philo (love) and dendron (tree), a real love tree. Besides its beautiful, velvety leaves, this houseplant has a very air-purifying effect.

The Philodendron is easy to care for and grows fairly quickly. The plant likes to be watered occasionally. Due to its tropical origin, it likes a slightly humid environment. Spraying the plant also removes the dust from the plant, allowing it to breathe better and this works as a preventative against pests and other diseases.
