The Strelitzia Reginae is known for its stunning orange and blue flowers. However, not every plant blooms on its own – it typically needs to be about four to five years old first. With proper care, you can significantly increase the chances of blooming. The attention you give will be rewarded with spectacular flowers.
Water needs of the Strelitzia Reginae – 120cm
The Strelitzia Reginae is a large plant and needs a lot of water, especially in summer. Water it so that the soil dries out after about a week. In the beginning, check the soil regularly – if it’s already dry after three days, increase the amount of water slightly.
In winter, the plant requires less water. Let the soil dry slightly between waterings to prevent root rot.
Mist the leaves weekly. This keeps the plant healthy, removes dust, and helps prevent pests.
