Acer palmatum Koto-no-ito is a striking ornamental shrub that requires little maintenance. Its fine, thread-like leaves give the plant a unique appearance. In spring, the leaves turn a fresh green colour, while warm golden-yellow hues appear in autumn. This maple is well hardy and loses its leaves in winter to sprout again in spring. It looks great in both open ground and in a pot.
