Make sure the soil is dry before you water the Cactus again. In summer that will be about once a week, in winter around once a month. It's important that the soil of the Cactus isn't too wet. That's how you prevent root rot.

The Cactus Opuntia is an incredibly easy houseplant. This tough guy is a real sunbather, though, so ideally it gets as much daylight as possible. The houseplant can go outdoors in spring and summer, but it isn't fully hardy. When temperatures drop, we recommend bringing the plant back inside.
