Care & tips Fargesia Rufa - 25cm

Fargesia Rufa is a strong and hardy bamboo species that is excellent for use in borders, pots or as a green hedge. This compact bamboo does not spread aggressively, which makes it popular in smaller gardens. Regular watering and the occasional organic fertiliser will encourage growth. You can easily prune the plant to keep it in shape.

Water requirements Fargesia Rufa - 25cm

This bamboo likes slightly moist soil, especially during the growing period from spring to autumn. Don't let the soil dry out completely, but also make sure excess water can drain away properly. In pots, it needs water slightly more often than in open ground.

Light requirements Fargesia Rufa - 25cm

Fargesia Rufa does well in a spot in semi-shade to full sun. In full sun it will require a bit more water, while in semi-shade it grows more calmly. Avoid dark shade, which can cause the leaves to yellow and slow its growth.
