Product Description

Caution! This plant naturally has cracks and brown bits in the leaves. There are at least 2 cuttings in the pot.
Important!

The Strelitzia Augusta is not a plant for people who like an almost fake perfect green plant. This topper comes straight from the tropics on Tenerife. As a result, the Strelitzia has a unique story and the accompanying scars in the form of cracks and brown edges in the leaves. This uniqueness gives this amazing plant its charm!

Care & tips Strelitzia Augusta - 180cm

The Strelitzia Augusta is relatively easy to care for. The most important thing is that the potting soil is allowed to remain moist. Give the easy houseplant small amounts of water several times a week and in this way prevent the Strelitzia from getting root rot. Do the leaves turn yellow? This is a sign of too moist soil. In this case, let the potting soil dry out and water a little less than you were used to. We recommend spraying the leaves monthly with a plant sprayer. By spraying, the leaves will stay more beautiful and you reduce the chance of pests in and on the leaves.

Water requirements Strelitzia Augusta - 180cm

Due to the size of the plant, this variety needs more water than any of its smaller relatives. The growing seasons of the Strelitzia Augusta are spring and summer. The plant will then be a bit thirstier than in the winter period. It is important to keep the soil moist, but avoid leaving the roots in water. With your finger, you can easily feel whether the soil needs some extra water or whether the Strelitzia Augusta still has enough to drink. In winter, the Strelitzia can stay dry a little more often, so that any fungi have less chance of developing.

Light requirements for Strelitzia Augusta - 180cm

Originally the Strelitzia Augusta comes from a sun-drenched environment, it is therefore necessary that the air-purifying houseplant gets enough light. Full sunlight it can tolerate but the plant needs to get used to it quietly. Build up the hours in full sun slowly so that the plant remains beautiful and healthy.

Is the Strelitzia Augusta - 180cm poisonous?

When touched, the green houseplant is not poisonous. Ingestion of the leaves, flowers and fruits is not recommended and can cause health problems, so do be careful with small children and pets.
