The Schefflera tree is a low-maintenance plant that likes a steady temperature of at least 15 degrees. It's happy in the light, but don't leave it in bright sun all day. Watch out for draughts too: a draughty spot can bring on pests such as mealybugs. If that happens, mist the plant carefully with water to get rid of the unwanted visitors.

The Schefflera tree is easy to care for and needs little water. It does best in slightly moist soil, though in winter the soil can dry out a little between waterings. It helps to check the soil for moisture every couple of days at first.
