The Alocasia Low Rider originates from Southeast Asia. The Alocasia owes its nickname 'Elephant Ear' to the shape of its leaves, which are reminiscent of this.

The leaves of the Alocasia will droop if watering is insufficient. The soil of the Alocasia Low Rider will therefore need to be constantly moist, but be careful not to flood the roots. This can cause root rot and is difficult to save. If you once give too much water, the plant can shoot off the roots. So be really careful with this.

The Alocasia Low Rider originates from the jungle and therefore needs a lot of light. Make sure the plant gets at least five hours of direct sunlight a day.
