As mentioned, the Aglaonema Maria is not a difficult plant to take care of. Just make sure to avoid too much sunlight. The Aglaonema Maria prefers a (semi-)shady spot. It will not appreciate direct sunlight and may affect the production of its beautiful leaf patterns. So keep this in mind when choosing its location.
Water requirements Aglaonema Maria - 30cm
Keep the soil of the Aglaonema Maria slightly moist, but be careful not to overwater it. Too much water can lead to root rot and kill the plant. Check the moisture by feeling in the soil with two fingers. If the soil feels dry after two days, it is time to water the plant. If the soil still feels moist after a few days, wait to water it. It is better for the soil to be slightly drier than too wet.

Place the Aglaonema Maria in a location with normal daylight where there is also shade during the day, or choose a shady spot. Due to its tropical origin, this plant does not tolerate excessive sunlight. Too much sun can result in rapid stem growth with few leaves, burning of the leaves, and fading of leaf patterns that will not reappear.
If the plant gets too little light and needs more light, this will be visible as the leaves will droop. In that case, move the Aglaonema Maria to a place with more light.
