Product Description
The Tradescantia Zebrina is a colourful hanging plant that originally comes from Central and South America. In the wild it grows as ground cover beneath the canopy of tropical forests, where its purple-green leaves create a striking colour contrast.
Care & tips for the Tradescantia Zebrina - 20 cm
The Tradescantia Zebrina is a tough, fast-growing houseplant that's easy to look after. It puts out long, trailing stems with beautifully glossy leaves in a mix of green, silver and purple. Trim the ends of the stems now and then to let the plant grow fuller. Remove old or withered leaves too, so the plant can put its energy into new growth.
How much water does the Tradescantia Zebrina - 20 cm need?
The soil of the Tradescantia Zebrina can stay slightly moist. Let the top layer of soil dry out a little before you water again. Too much water can cause root rot, so make sure drainage is good. In winter the soil can be a touch drier.
How much light does the Tradescantia Zebrina - 20 cm need?
The Tradescantia Zebrina loves plenty of light. The more light it gets, the more intense its leaf colours will be. Do avoid direct sunlight, though, as that can scorch the leaves. In a bright spot with filtered daylight or in partial shade the plant will do beautifully.
Is the Tradescantia Zebrina - 20 cm toxic?
The Tradescantia Zebrina is mildly toxic if eaten, so keep the plant out of reach of pets and small children.
