Wout S is hugely popular! He is the smallest member of our Wout family. These green powerhouses fly out of the greenhouse and we understand exactly why: Wout is the green superhero every home deserves. Wout, the Pachira Aquatica, earned the nickname money tree because the plant stands for financial fortune and good luck in Eastern tradition. The Pachira originally comes from the swamps of Costa Rica, eastern Brazil and Panama. This combi deal is made up of two Wout S plants.
Care & tips for Wout S - 30cm
Wout is a very easy houseplant to look after: watering once every 3 weeks is really all it takes. In winter the Pachira enjoys a regular misting, because the air in the room is drier then and that gets a little uncomfortable for him.
How much water does Wout S - 30cm need?
Wout needs a cup of water once every 3 weeks. We recommend letting the soil dry out before you water again, because Wout stores water in his trunk. In summer it is good to keep the soil slightly moist before the houseplant gets its next drink. Now and then Wout can use an extra litre if:
- The heating is on a lot
- Wout stands in the sun a lot
- The air conditioning runs often
- The air is dry
How much light does Wout S - 30cm need?
Wout needs at least 3 to 5 hours of sunlight a day, though the Pachira doesn't cope well with fierce sun. Give your little tree a spot in bright indirect light. If the green houseplant shoots up quickly but puts out few leaves, it is standing somewhere too dark, so move the Pachira into a little more light.
Is Wout S - 30cm toxic?
The Pachira Aquatica is not known as a toxic plant. Even so, we can't promise that every pet or person will react well to eating Wout's leaves (there are countries where Pachira leaves are boiled and eaten, but we would advise against it).
How is my Wout S - 30cm shipped?
This large houseplant is delivered in a nursery pot. All our houseplants are shipped in boxes we designed ourselves: a snug inner fitting keeps the plant firmly in place so it can't shift in transit. Plants don't mind a day in a dark box, so your green friend arrives home in perfect condition.
