Ficus Benghalensis Audrey, also known as 'Choke Plant', has been given this nickname due to its unique and slightly aggressive growth habit. In India, Ficus actually climbs up on taller trees, strangling them as it were and lowering its roots to the ground. Thus, Ficus Audrey takes the victim's place and can grow to great heights! In India, the tree is sacred and is called the Banyan Tree.
