Laurus Nobilis is better known as the bay laurel. You know, the one from the delicious stews! Originally, bay laurel comes from the eastern Mediterranean region such as Turkey, Georgia and Greece.

The soil of Laurus Nobilis should always be slightly moist. So feel it regularly. The plant needs a little extra water in the summer, as it uses a lot more then.

This plant originates from an area where the sun shines a lot. That's why bay laurel prefers a bright spot in your garden, preferably in a sheltered spot. If this is not possible, no problem. Laurus nobilis also survives well in a spot with some shade now and then.

No worries. Laurel is not poisonous. The leaves are used as seasoning in dishes for a reason.
