Strelitzia Nicolai

This tall houseplant is part of the same family as the Strelitzia Augusta. The Strelitzia Nicolai is a beautiful green houseplant that stands out thanks to its large leaves. It is delivered at a height of 160-180 cm and can grow taller still. That does not happen by itself, of course: to keep growing, the Strelitzia Nicolai needs the right care. Make sure the potting soil always feels moist and give it a little water several times a week rather than a lot in one go. The Strelitzia Nicolai is a real sun worshipper and likes to stand in bright sun. Do not put it in the shade, because it will not be happy there!

Strelitzia Augusta

The Strelitzia Augusta belongs to the same family as the Strelitzia Nicolai. It is a beautiful, tall houseplant with a tropical look. Its roots lie in South Africa, where it grows in the tropical regions. There it can reach up to 10 metres tall. At home that is not possible, of course, but with the right care you can let it grow to a height of 2 metres. This Strelitzia also prefers a little water several times a week. Check regularly that the soil still feels slightly moist. The Strelitzia Augusta is mad about sunlight too!

Banana plant XL

Are you busy building your own urban jungle? Then the banana plant is, as far as we are concerned, absolutely essential. It gives any room in the house a tropical feel. It offers your pets a lovely shady spot. It does not just look innocent, it is: the banana plant is completely pet-friendly. So there is no need to worry about your pets when they come near your banana plant. The banana plant is air-purifying as well: it clears the air of unwanted particles and helps with the humidity in your home.

Strelitzia Reginae XL

This beautiful houseplant is delivered at a height of 170 cm. It belongs to the same family as the Strelitzia Nicolai and the Strelitzia Augusta. When this houseplant comes into flower, you will see bright orange blooms with purple. Give this tall houseplant the right care and it can grow to a height of 200 cm! In the wild they often reach 10 metres, but in our climate that is not possible. Give it a spot in bright indirect light and make sure you water it weekly. Do take care: this is not a pet-friendly houseplant, because it is mildly toxic.

Monstera Deliciosa XXL

If you know your houseplants, you will certainly have heard of this one, although the Monstera Deliciosa is better known as the Swiss cheese plant. That is down to the leaves of this tall houseplant. It stands 150 cm tall when it is delivered to your door. Water it weekly and put it in partial shade, and it will be forever grateful. Take care with pets: the Monstera Deliciosa is not pet-friendly at all and is toxic if eaten. Do you have pets? Then go for a banana plant instead. The Monstera Deliciosa is air-purifying, so you never have to worry about unwanted particles in your home again!
