Because the sun in the Netherlands sometimes falls a little short, your olive tree needs all the sunlight there is, so keep that in mind when you pick its position. It’s also important not to give the Olea too much water. This stunner needs plenty to drink, but an excess of water can be fatal.
How much water does the Olea Bonsai - 300cm need?
The Olea Bonsai needs quite a bit of water. Olive trees are thirsty types to begin with, and a hefty 300cm tree like this one needs more than a small variety. Because the tree has to stand in a sunny spot, it also evaporates a lot of water. The more the sun shines, the more water it needs, so watering in the summer months is considerably heavier than in the winter months.

The olive tree is used to the Mediterranean climate, where the sun shines almost all the time. That sunlight is what lets the plants develop properly, so it really is important that the Olea Bonsai gets a sunny spot. Because the sun is that bit weaker in the Netherlands, every olive tree has a little more trouble developing here.
