The Yucca Filifera Australis of 180 cm is a large yucca on a trunk, with a thick stem and a broad crown. Its blue-green leaves have fine white threads along the edges. Normally you would wait years for a plant this size, but this one goes into your garden in a single afternoon. It is winter hardy and one of the most impressive specimens in our collection of yuccas and palm lilies.

In an exotic garden, this XL garden plant quickly becomes the centrepiece. Place it on its own in the middle of a gravel garden or at the entrance to your home. Despite its impressive size, this yucca is very easy to look after. Give it a spot in open ground or a large, heavy planter with well-draining soil. Because it is winter hardy, it can stay outdoors all year round, as long as the roots are not standing in water in winter.
