The Phoenix Canariensis originates from the Canary Islands. This is where the palm also owes its name 'Canary date palm' to. The palm belongs to the Araceae family.

The Phoenix Canariensis requires little maintenance. Originally the Phoenix Canariensis grows in a place where the sun shines a lot and the temperatures are a bit higher than in The Netherlands. Nevertheless, Phoenix Canariensis can last for years here too. Although it requires little maintenance, you cannot leave it to its own devices. Make sure that you are always aware of the best care for your outdoor plant.
